The US Open this year continues its celebration of Pride and diversity with its second annual Open Pride Day. The world's grandest Slam will again celebrate the LGBTQ+ community on Open Pride Day—which, this year, is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 1.

This on-site experience will elevate diverse LGBTQ+ voices both inside and outside of tennis to spread a core message of inclusion: when you're open, you welcome all.

The USTA's history of hosting events for the LGBTQ+ community at the US Open began in 2019 with its “Love All: An Open Conversation," featuring notable LGBTQ+ athletes Jason Collins, Adam Rippon and Billy Beane, among others.The inaugural Open Pride Day was held in 2021, a day- and night-long celebration under the umbrella of the US Open’s “Be Open” social impact campaign.

Pride flags flew proudly at the entrance to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center; players, coaches, officials, Ball Crew team members, staff, partners, vendors and fans wore rainbow wristbands as self-expression and in solidarity; and the exterior of Arthur Ashe Stadium shone brightly in rainbow colors at night after sunset. Year two will see a similar visual celebration of Pride around the grounds during both the day and night sessions.
